SmartAPI Settings

SmartAPI settings define naming standards and generation defaults shared by everyone in the active workspace.

Current SmartAPI naming standards and generation defaults

Naming Standards

Endpoint Naming controls labels across inventory, generation, and saved scenarios:

OptionExample
Method + PathGET /users/{id}
Operation IDGET getUserById
SummaryGET Get user by id

Suite Naming controls the generation session and its saved suite name:

OptionExample
Service + TemplateOrders — Regression
File + Templateorders.json — Smoke
Custom PrefixQA — Regression

Choose labels that remain understandable after saving to AutoRunner. Operation IDs and summaries are useful when the source contract maintains them consistently.

Generation Defaults

Execution default for new generation sessions

Execute API requests during generation is the default for new sessions. It can be changed before starting an individual session.

warning

When execution is enabled, generation may send real API requests and change API data. Check the target and scope before starting.

Save settings

Until workspace settings have been saved, the page shows Using defaults · not saved yet. Review and save changes when adjusting the shared defaults.

The current settings screen contains naming and generation defaults. Configure organization AI providers in Platform Settings, and choose the AutoRunner destination when saving a scenario. The older model, generation-strategy, and module-mapping panels are no longer part of this screen.
