Accessibility Audits
Audits analyze URLs within a plan. One audit group can contain several paths that share a title and base URL, which is useful for testing a related journey as a set.
Create an audit group
- Open Accessibility > Plans and select a plan.
- Select New Audit.
- Optional: enter a title for the group.
- Choose a target: Web, Mobile, or Desktop.
- Add one or more URL paths. The plan's base URL is shown with each path.
- Keep Public selected for pages that do not require the plan's sign-in flow. Clear it for an authenticated URL.
- Select Save to create the group without starting it, or Save and Start Audit to run it now.
Authentication is configured on the plan, not in the individual audit. See Authenticated audits before marking a protected URL as non-public.
Work with a group
The Audit History groups related URLs together. A group shows average accessibility and performance scores and offers group-level actions such as Start All Audits, Edit Audit, and View All Runs.
Each URL row shows its target strategy, status, latest accessibility and performance scores, and last update time. Row actions let you start that URL, open its run history, view a completed report, or delete it.
Statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending | The audit is queued or has not started processing. |
| Analyzing | Lighthouse-backed analysis is running. |
| Completed | A report is available. |
| Failed | The run did not complete; inspect the message and retry after correcting the cause. |
When a group contains mixed statuses, its summary prioritizes active analysis, then failed and pending work, before completed results.
What the analysis records
A completed run can include Lighthouse scores for:
- Accessibility
- Performance
- Best Practices
- SEO
The accessibility report also separates passed, failed, manual, and not-applicable findings. These counts provide context; they are not the formula for the Lighthouse accessibility score.
